Like Fruit Picking only Different …..
You’ve gotta love childbirth no matter how you go about it (c-section, vaginal delivery …… and anything else they’ll come up with) the damn thing is still more painful than watching a Sly Stallone marathon …….
(Yes the pateint is awake during the video)*
(Not really a post so much as something I had to share ….. apologies …..)
*She is sedated however …. with either local or spinal anesthesia …..

The first time i saw a vaginal delivery i was horrified…..when i saw the episiotomy i was so shocked at the way they treated it like a ‘chunk of meat’ i was speechless…..
Then i saw a c-section and i freaked out…theres something so quick and unnatural about it that makes me uneasy……but that said…..isnt it better then cutting up a women’s private parts? But then u have the possible health implications the baby may have if he came out by c-section……so what will it be?
In the 2mnth rotation im going to make a final decision for the future, whether im gonna go all natural or if im gonna get an elective c/s.

Blasha: It’s no worse than the stuff on E.R.
D.R.: C/S all the way. You’ll get to do thousands (well, hundreds really) of episiotomy+repairs and c-sections. Trusts me episiotomies are just wrong……

Isn’t it unethical and an invasion of privacy, for that matter, to post a private birthing video for all to watch? I mean, what with the legal system in Kuwait and all, I doubt anybody would care, but I would feel violated, and so would a wife in that essence, for somebody to post the video for all to see.

Eschew Obfuscation: I would too, and I do think it would be unethical. If it weren’t posted by the person themselves and only mirrored on here from youtube. (The person in the video is the one who put it up on youtube. All I did was share it on this blog).
This is here site on youtube”

poor baby
c/s is less painful but I definitely prefer a natural birth (in theory ;p)
so.. why is the woman awake during the surgery? couldn’t they give her general anesthesia? or was it her choice?

Aurous: I beleive it was her choice. It’s also safer to use regional nerve blocks than give General Anesthesia.
Ansam: Thankyou for the honorable mention. Very flattering
(they can bathe, kiss cuddle and make the baby vomit from the second the baby is out of the womb.
Vixen: You haven’t seen the placenta yet …..

Had a delightful c-section + spinal block experience leading to drop in heart beat , chest pain and sudden injection of atropine……can you explain that? Because everyone kept telling me it was perfectly normal ( sue…malpractice…sue….)?

teach: erm …. I honestly don’t know (anesthesia was never my strong suit)…. it probably was normal though. People tend to have a little bit of a drop in their blood pressure and heart rate in surgery anyway and atropine is a relatively good drug to give in such cases.
